A couple of years ago, it was about two years ago, a tree fell on our power line. So we lost all power to our house. We had to use a fire to get heat. It was cold everywhere else in the house, because the heaters wouldn’t work. It was the middle of winter and was a week before Christmas.

We moved a mattress down into our living room. If I had a game boy I would have been grateful because I was extremely bored the whole time. The only thing to do was read and do school work. And play with my brothers. So it was pretty boring. And we couldn’t go out of the living room without getting cold. We had wood in the fire constantly and I don’t remember what we ate. But it was cold unless we cooked it over the fire. We usually had hot dogs, sandwiches or hamburgers I think. That was pretty good for us since we like hamburgers and hot dogs. We didn’t have any s’mores though, I like s’mores.

The electrical guy got there about a day before Christmas, which was a week from the beginning, and he took all night to fix it. Mom and Dad made us sleep upstairs. Then we woke up and got a basket ball hoop for Christmas, the end.
